An adult toy brand approached us to enhance their online reputation and attract more business. Although they had a pretty good side, their online popularity was low when compared to their competitors and it affected their business in plenty. The website was being promoted on fewer keywords, and there was no clear strategy to work on competitive keywords for the business.

Challenges

The company had not gathered many backlinks through off-page SEO activities which made it tougher for Google bots to crawl it against specific keywords searches.  Duplicate and thin content on product and category pages did not help much which made the things worse for Google.

What We Did

We found out that duplicate content was affecting the performance of the website, so we developed fresh content for the website and posted it along with the relevant keywords. We also worked on building a topical content cluster strategy to position the brand as a thought leader. Optimized all collection and product pages with semantic keywords

Having worked on content, we developed a keyword strategy for the website and found out 150 keywords relevant to business upon which blogs, articles and classifieds were created. We posted blogs, articles and a whole lot of digital PR to diverse submission sites to get link juice and backlinks for the website to crawl it on the higher pages of the search engine in response to certain keywords.

We also worked on improving the technical issues on the website including broken links, schema markups, canonical tags, core web vital, meta data and much more.

Results

Over the course of nine months, our SEO campaign produced significant results for the adult toy e-commerce firm. Monthly organic traffic went up by 230%, from 3,100 visits to over 10,230. Along with the traffic, the number of keywords ranking in increased from 938 to 4,567 including some of the important keywords started ranking in top 3 positions. Those keyword rankings really helped in driving the revenue with revenue increased from $2,800 to $18,760.  Furthermore, the website’s Domain Authority increased from 9 to 27, through diligent link-building and the removal of harmful backlinks. These results proved the success of a well-executed SEO campaign, particularly in a niche where paid advertising is limited.
